Introduction:

We are seeking an Associate Director Solution Architect to advance our project and technical architectures. This role will develop standards, oversee diverse business domains, and manage complexities across multiple solution components. You'll work with various stakeholders and lead teams to ensure the successful execution of our solution architecture design in medium to large-sized projects. Skilled in various technology areas with a knack for strategic problem-solving, you could be our ideal candidate if you thrive in a dynamic, business-focused setting.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Act as the Web CMS SME, driving consensus among solution architects and vendor teams while also providing expertise in Acquia platform capabilities and Drupal CMS solutions.
  • Contribute to Agile sprint teams by conducting functional and technical analysis, managing backlogs, and implementing core functionalities with attention to detail during testing and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain development standards, best practices, design patterns, and technical solutions' governance.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement innovative problem-solving strategies and UX considerations, ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Create, maintain, and prepare detailed system design and technical specification documentation for website aspects, including version control and software interoperability.
  • Facilitate seamless production planning and implementation of solutions, and resolve development and performance issues throughout iterative sprints.
  • Deliver architectural services or governance activities for a complex business area, utilizing architecture patterns to support the holistic solution architecture design.
  • Engage with internal and vendor project teams to explain proposed architecture and ensure technical governance of implementation, keeping architecture tools and platforms up-to-date.

    Minimum Requirements:


    Work Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of experience, OR Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience.
    • Over 5 years of Drupal CMS solution development experience, inclusive of architectural proficiency, and hands-on experience with CMS migration—preferably to Drupal.
    • Practical expertise in designing and developing system architectures in complex, multi-platform distributed environments.
    • Proficiency in dynamic programming languages such as JavaScript, PHP, or Python and the use of modern development tools (Visual Studio, Eclipse, Git, SVN).
    • Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including hardware, virtualization, networking, and experience with integration technologies like API Gateways.
    • Demonstrated experience with website cookies management, privacy policies, and creating external system interfaces.
    • Significant knowledge in designing and delivering large-scale websites, and experience with Agile software development and methodology.
    • Solid experience in implementing Drupal 8/9/10 Web Content Management Systems and migrating other Content Management Systems to Drupal CMS.
    • Proficiency in front-end technologies including CSS, HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, web services, and web application development.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate technical information effectively.
